Telephone Consultation Question

No the consultation occurs over the phone or via Skype and therefore you do not need to travel to your consultation.

You don’t need to. When the consultant calls they will ask leading questions to gain your achievements from you. If they require additional information you will be able to send this to us after the call.

Your adviser will view your experience and place you with the consultant they feel is best matched to your experience and the role you are now seeking. Your salary level is also taken into consideration as we match you with a consultant who has experience recruiting at your level and therefore understand what recruiters are looking for when recruiting individuals like yourself.

Your consultant will spend up to 30 minutes on the phone with you gaining your achievements from you.

The consultants work during the day, evenings and weekend and therefore you just need to explain your availability to the team and they will find a slot suitable for you.

Yes. Our consultants are experienced in what they do. They will review your CV prior to speaking with you and identify the type of information they need to gain from you. They will then ask leading questions to gain this information from you.

Skills Probe Questions

The skills probe is designed to engage you to think about achievements and provides examples to help with this - we all have them however we do understand it can be hard to identify these or distinguish between what was your general role and what is considered an achievement. If you are stuck please do not panic, our Operations Team are here to help and available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm so please give them a call, send an email or visit our live chat on our website for assistance and guidance.

No, we use a standard skills probe which is designed to cater for all clients no matter what their sector or required job.

The consultant will already have a copy of your CV and therefore the skills probe is designed to gain additional information from you which is not included on your CV. The skills probe requires you to provide details of the role you are now seeking and salary you are targeting to allow the consultant to ensure the CV is marketing you correctly for the roles you want. The questionnaire also requires you to provide details of your achievements from your current/previous roles. The more achievements you are able to provide, the stronger your CV will be. The consultant may not use all the information provided in the questionnaire if they do not feel it will benefit your job search, however we recommend providing as much information as possible to allow the consultant to have an in-depth understanding of you, your career and what you wish to do now.

The consultant generally does not need to call you as they normally will have enough information based on the documents you have provided. They may contact you if necessary via phone or email however please note a phone consultation is not included with the skills questionnaire service. The document is provided to you as a working draft upon completion and therefore you are able to let us know upon receipt if you require any additional information in the document so do not panic if you think of more achievements after you have returned your questionnaire. If you wish to email across additional information at any point please feel free to do so and our Operations Team will be more than happy to pass this to your consultant.
